TB-500 is a synthetic research peptide corresponding to Thymosin Beta-4 (TB4), a naturally occurring, water-soluble polypeptide belonging to the beta-thymosin family. The native molecule is a 43-amino-acid peptide that functions as the principal intracellular G-actin-sequestering protein, where it binds monomeric actin in an approximately 1:1 complex and helps regulate actin polymerization and the dynamics of the cytoskeleton.
